Yeah, the game was much better. This so far hits the same story beats, but it lacks so much of the heart of the game. I hope that this one came first, because if this is an adaptation of the game and not the other way around, it's a mediocre as piss one.

Usually in zombie stories the main character is a more or less upstanding person. Then you have, inevitably, scenes that show how the other remaining living humans can be the worst enemies, not the zombies themselves. This series kind of reverses the setting: the main character is not the hero but one of the heinous survivors who does whatever he wants now that there's no social order to stop him.

it gets even worse....was reading that a while ago, then dropped it bcs the mc is such a damn scumbag....

I hate how Yuusuke is drawn compared to the VN. In the VN, he has such intense eyes that just by looking at them you can get the sense of his weariness and disdain for other people. The first time the game shows you how Yuusuke looks from Mitsuki's perspective he looks like such a hardcore badass. This version of him is just a disappointment.
