What... She repays him for not sleeping with her by taking a bullet? Bruh if I give you gum you going to repay me with your house? This is nonsense man... The story is probably moving to fast fast to make sense and honestly it went downhill real quickly when the mc got tricked and trapped TWICE. Yea maybe tricked and trapped once by someone you know but humans usually harbor that fear with them for a while so the chances of you getting tricked AGAIN by a random person who snuck up behind you who; is a superpowered individual who's senses exceed ordinary humans is just utter bullshit unless you just never have your guard up but then you wouldn't still be alive.

@BasicEden By that logic...people should never get tricked again once they've been tricked once in their life... :/ No, he was tricked again...but it was in a completely new new way using a method he knew nothing about. He was even wary about the water because of being tricked the first time. No one is omniscient...including this MC. This story does have lots of issues(like the fact everyone seems to want to trick and poison/drug him)...but this isn't one of them.

@Kami_Nana Im not saying once you're tricked you're now impossible to trick again. What i'm saying is its stupid to be tricked again in a similar manner by random people the MC decides to trust. Listen man if he was wary that's a good sign but at the end of the day did he drink it? Did he repeat another stupid mistake. How do you justify getting tricked twice in such a similar manner? Naivety being one way, ignorance, stupidity and/or just not learning form your past. For example internet scams aren't the same in any way but if you fall for the Nigerian prince scam are you also going to fall for the Prince of england scam? Most likely no, because after the first scam you will learn to distrust the words of someone random.

@BasicEden It wasn't the same situation, though. Did you not see the girl drink the water to show him that it was not poisoned? I mean...you realize it was the plant that drugged him that time, right? Seems to me that you're calling apples and oranges the same thing. You can't compare them. He's getting tricked in different ways that he hasn't encountered before...ways that he's ignorant to. Your analogy even shows what I mean as you give no specifics. What are each of their scams and how do they differ. That's what you don't seem to recognize is the differences in circumstance. You're just looking at the surface of the "trick" and not seeing that they are different tricks...calling them the same "trick" when they're not.

Like I said, this manhua is riddled with issues...but him falling to different tricks isn't one of them. What is one, is that everyone he meets seems to want to trick him...which is unnatural. Not everyone would want to trick someone they just met.

To further show what I mean...say you're drugged...would you forever be paranoid every time someone presented you with something to drink and never drink something someone offered to you. That's just paranoia and also shows disrespect to the person who's just trying to offer you, a guest, something to quench your thirst. Even your analogy shows this paranoia as now you'd expect the Prince of England to scam you because the Prince of Nigeria did. Again...you're jumping on the MC's case because he doesn't share your paranoia. Must be a sad life you live suspecting everyone just because someone once tricked you.

@Kami_Nana First off i read this months ago so the details isn't vivid in my mind. Also you're trying to separate the two but the fact remains they are in the same group, while a apple is an apple and a orange is an orange just doesn't really stop you from thinking bout them when someone says fruit. I can see you missed what i was trying to convey when i brought up the two scams, just because something isn't the same down to the details doesn't change what it is. You're trying to combat the fact he was tricked multiple times with the argument they are different tricks they came up with. I never denied this because you're right they are different but people usually learn to not be a complete dumbass and fall for tricks constantly just because it wasn't the exact same one you fell for before. If they do its usually in a complete different manor for a completely different situation for example like the shit mc falls for and then his girl having an affair. Two different situations i'm sure anyone could find themselves in, but then giving back your trust to random people you don't know and or your girl who just cheated on you is the problem.

The thought that you wouldn't be more cautious of drinks that are handed to you after you've been drugged is ludicrous to me. That's not paranoia just the basic human trait of caution and to not do that is funny and insane. Idk what country you're from but to me denying a drink isn't a problem for most people, also most people don't accept open drinks from people they don't know. Btw i was comparing two scams and seeing you actually defend them makes me think you're someone who would fall for it which makes you gullible so i can see now why you don't think theres anything wrong with the mc.
