the anime is actually a really good adaptation, it adds more to the story and it restructured the story to make more sense

So...can anyone break down what happened to this story? It wasn't perfect but it's memorable to me. The art's striking, the coloring is beautiful and creative, and the characters are fun in a suprisingly intriguing story... I feel like losing out on this story has been a big loss in general. I mean, it got an anime for Chrissakes, and it's just faded from existence it seems. I don't have dedicated social media and am hardly a competent internet sleuth, but it seems as if any official English translations are also gone.

What happened?

From skimming a few Reddit posts, it seems like it wasn't popular enough for Comico to think it was worth continuing its sales? Which certainly sucks. I don't know if they used the same translation as Crunchyroll or not, but if not I haven't found any record of that translation.
