The prayer to Fruhtrane was asking for healing. "Bestow upon me the power of your healing"... so it was a prayer to heal the land that had been devastated by the Toronbe.

In the LN it goes into more detail about the characteristics of toronbe. If left alone, its seeds slowly sink into the ground and grow by absorbing the mana of the land. It spreads its roots wide to suck the life out of the land until it has enough mana stored to begin sending shoots upwards.

However, if a great deal of mana is fed into it at once, then it will grow immediately without devastating the land... and it will attempt to capture and feed on that source of mana.

Originally Myne had only fed in enough mana to the seed for it to sprout vigorously, but it lost energy as it was immediately mowed down (and used to make paper). However, this time her dripping blood was continuously feeding it, so no matter how much Ferdinand and the Knights struggled to free her, it would immediately regenerate or grow new sprouts endlessly. This is why Ferdinand had to disarm his weapon to heal Myne even though it meant he would no longer have a weapon to fight the toronbe with.

I like this author, usually they give us these characters thats only purpose is to be annoying and delay justice as long as possible so we're compelled to read.

Here, they piss me off at the start but by the end we flex on em. its satisfying and way less ragebait-y

Edit: nvm, i read it so fast I didnt realize it was two chapters. But still, two chapters aint that long either
