To be fair, she wasn't doing any sports, to me, it looks like just her sports casual attire.
Maybe I'm biased since I rock the same, but in the same way, you wouldn't expect every Adidas jacket wearer to be out on a jog.
And, hey, she does look like she wants a boyfriend (I know: a girl wanting a boyfriend, preposterous! /s XD)

For some reason this protag that's intentional most of the time, yet completely oblivious rarely works well on me.

Ehhh I don’t really apply IRL logic to pornwha so just figured girl on a jog sees a cat in the tree. Try to be as cliche as possible. But I like the casual view better
