I can feel Ai's dad's passive-aggressive attempt to compete with Kaede...

That hug actually fully woke her up. I guess a sudden hug from Kaede who usually doesn't hug her back made her heart skip a beat.

Best part of this chapter is when Ai revealed she actually heard Kaede and her dad's convo. And they did the reveal as a couple with no drama or outright dad tantrums. Also love that popsicle halfsies scene, shamelessly enjoyed together like the true couple they are without fussing over some "indirect kiss" BS like in a typical romcom.

Man, I wouldn't mind if they accidentally kissed in one of those in your face moments. Better if the kiss isn't accidental.
