The concept of sayaka (or maybe the people at familie?) Having to explain to her her pregnancy every time she woke up for 8-9 months is fucking horrifying poor girl

Maybe it'll be revealed that the temporal lobe damage wasn't from the explosion (I think it's pretty likely honestly) but that concept is so terrifying either way

It has been already shown that it is Sayaka that is giving her memory altering drugs, and it was the motivation for the escape attempt. I think, however, she is not the one responsible for the pregnancy, since (as you pointed out) the mind alterations wouldn't be an efficient way of handling it, when a mild sedation would do the trick with a lot less hassle.
I'd say Sayaka is keeping her either as personal entertainment or as a sleeping agent; considering how she is running from both the Familie and whoever the Familie's enemies are, and that the girl was selected for "reproduction duty", I'd say the first one is more likely...

My theory is that sayaka actually foes love kurumi and they escaped together. The mystery though is why kurumi would need to have her memory wiped in this scenario.

sayaka is definitely in love with kurumi and got her out of familie so she wouldn't spend the rest of her life as a breeding machine. i wonder if the memory altering is to keep her from remembering whatever traumatic shit she went through there (like getting a c-section at 14..)
