Correction: apparently they don't expire but they go bad/stale after some years.
But they do in fact grow some mold which what happened to me.

And IIRC she's like fresh out of high school at this point, maybe 18~19? She didn't seem to go to college because she chose to pursue her dreams of becoming a musician, and when that dream ended, she's left here with nothing.

Somebody asked if her mom knew if Ri-chan is smoking, now I'm wondering if her dad ever learned she started smoking like he did.

They get to a point where they're so bitter they're unsmokable, at least for me. Most heavy smokers keep them in the fridge or closet.

I've been given a cigarette three times, "to try" (2nd and 3rd time it was under the pretext of "you were just smoking the wrong way", lol), but thankfully, that shit felt gross each time and i never got addicted to it. I really can't imagine why people would retry something that gave them a negative impression, especially while in the dumps.

Maybe because they're overly-curious, they feel the need to "really get a feel of it" by trying it another time, or it's the only source of anything to keep their mind off of something. (Even if the effects of it do nothing for them, at least at first.)

All just guesses though.
