You do know while training a fatal damage would be an attack that's supposed will kill the defender?
But since they're training, both stop before it hits?

The bird I kind of understood... a bit. Everything seems very jumpy, like one of those movies you will only understand everything if you have read the books, so I guess one would understand what each pannel represents if read the LN.
The art is nice though, not much for BG, but pretty detailed; the plot is not bad up until what I've read here, so aside from the timeskiping it seems to be a work wothy of appreciation.

Felt off and plot is rushed didn't sound right but yeah the pacing felt off and jumpy seems about right with it feeling like it jumped place to place a bit too much making it feel disjointed(?)
(also feels weird that part where he meets the dullahan for the first time was completely cut out and we jumped straight to training out of the blue)

as far as i understud it the blade is made of ice he conjurs after unsheating the sword.
And they can't even give it an original name... Somehow that sword given by a creature inspired by irish folklore in a world where Japan doesn't exist is named after a real word japanese katana.
