Okay so I just realised that akane seriously caused this incredibly fragile reality:
1. Akane not telling Aqua that his father is likely alive caused multiple things:
-Aqua is just fucking around now, just having "fun" with his carreer (though he may be unsatisfied/unhappy because he didnt find the killer/a part of him knows the killer is likely alive)
-Aqua being freed up means he was able to finally have a relationship with Akane.
2. Due to Akane helping Ruby figure out that Aqua was seeking revenge on the killer by rising in showbiz, Ruby possibly STILL thinks that her bro is on this mission (though I might be wrong on this). Cause god knows that these twins do NOT communicate well at all. I'm not really sure how this affects Ruby (maybe it helps her be calm that things will work out?) but at least if she figures out he gave up it will cause a huge blowup likely. There is also the possibility that Ruby started looking for the killer too but I'm not sure on that.
3. This is copium for Kana enjoyers but we could also blame Akane for making Aqua realise he can't have a relationship with Kana because she reminded him of how difficult things would be because Kana's an idol (reminding him of his mom's death... on purpose?!?).
So if we wanna be REALLY mean to Akane we could say that Akane is a master manipulator so that she can be with Aqua. Knowing that Aqua will leave if he finds out about his dad being alive.
Though I doubt the whole aqua ruby misunderstanding was her plan. I think we can likely at least blame her for not telling Aqua about his father partly out of greed to keep Aqua with her. I think this manga is well-written enough for that to be true eventually (and not just Akane making an oopsie...).
Keep in mind this is assuming not much changed in character motivations in the past 6 months. A lot of this might be wrong, and is hinging on Aqua having given up on the hunt.
