So Kiryu is still alive? They made him sound his death wasn't sertain after he blew up the Escape satellite.

Also it sounds like there are other factions in the mix apart from UN and NIN?

Color codes for convience:
[UN] - [NIN] | [Seven Lords] - [Neo Seven Lords] | [Kato & Co.] - [Koji Kashin] | [Kamikakushi] - [Kumogakure]

It may seem somewhat covoluted if you try to wrangle every detail in your head. However, just remember the main conflict is [UN] trying to kill off a divided and weakened [NIN].

Everything else is merely a splintering from that main conflict.

The old [Seven Lords] want to hold on to power within [NIN] through mind transplants. The [Neo Seven Lords]–the grandchildren who would have inherited their leadership roles–are trying to usurp control by killing them off, since they are being pushed out.

Since their data and tactical leverage [ESCAPE] has been compromised, [NIN] is on the verge of total collapse and eradication. However, they have one trump card, the [Koji Kashin]*, who has the power to utterly destroy all of Japan by hypnotizing the entire population but is as of now incapable of doing so because he is still a baby.

In order to avoid execution, after being framed, [Kato] defected from [NIN]. He then recruited others to help prevent the [Koji Kashin] from destroying Japan. Now, [Kato & Co.] are trying to kill off the [Koji Kashin] and the [Seven Lords].

The [Kamikakushi] clan went in to hiding 70 years ago and is apart of [UN], if not the main force behind it, and also happen to be the nemesis' of the [Kumogakure] clan.

The rivalry seems significant for those involved and could be the reason why the [Kumogakure]'s are said to be a ruined family. Both clans seem to be shrouded in mystery. The [Kamikakushi] seem to be a powerhouse of tech.

The [Kumogakure]'s appear to operate independently even within [NIN] itself. Interestingly enough, the [Kumogakure]'s are protecting [Noguchi], a witness of the school event that could paint a very damaging portryal of [NIN]'s misconduct and disregard for the Japanese public. As well as [Kawado], who lost her parents in the [22-2-22 Incident] which, I don't think, is something we know anything about! I mistook it for another incident in a previous post. But if [Kawado] is another witness, she may paint another horrid picture for [NIN] if they ever have to answer for their crimes.

This chapter, [?] the floating ghost, is taking a lot of issue with the fact that [UN] is willing to work with [Kato & Co.] and is sending his cronies to show off their strength to [NIN].

More direct answers:

@Fugutron Kiriyu is dead, it's confirmed in the [Under Ninja NIN NIN Manual]* Nothing is definitively confirmed in the story. There definitely are different groups with their own agendas.

@potatoroll These guys are apart of [UN] they just don't like the idea of helping [Kato & Co.] due to the history of [UN] and [NIN].

@shrike What is happening is a whole lot of sharks swimming with blood in the water.

Hope this helps elucidate some things for you guys. If not, ask and I may scour around for some answers for you when I can. As I thoroughly enjoy the story and ya'll guy's comments as well. :)

That being said: The floating spectre gives me the absolute creeps... 😣

[Koji Kashin]*: It is not currently known who this is. See @grimdotmp4 's post below.

[Kiryu]*: There is compelling evidence that he is alive. see below.

This is a really good summary!! :)
I just have a couple corrections, to make sure all the details are as clear as possible.

However, they have one trump card, the [Koji Kashin], who has the power to utterly destroy all of Japan by hypnotizing the entire population but is as of now incapable of doing so because he is still a baby.

We don't know what state that [Koji Kashin] is currently in, baby or otherwise.
While [Tara] of the [Seven Lords] is still a baby and the [other members] of the [Seven Lords] have stated their interest in following in Tara's footsteps in [Chapter 70], we still don't have any hints as to the whereabouts or even the status of [Koji Kashin] themself.

[Tara], despite being the "Head of the [Seven Lords]", is not [Koji Kashin].
This leads me to believe that [Koji Kashin], at one point, was chosen from amongst the [Seven Lords] to "ascend" and attain said title.
It could very well have been a previous generation of the [Seven Lords], or it could have been the current generation with a new member chosen to fill the void.

While they are stated to have such incredible brainwashing power by [Kato], [Koji Kashin] could be capable of following through with the action at any moment, or they could be currently unable to (through babyfication or otherwise).

We just don't know, because they are technically a new character as of [Chapter 99] and [Chapter 100], despite having been listed as a title in the chart way back in [Volume 4]'s bonus pages.

Kiriyu is dead, it's confirmed in the [Under Ninja NIN NIN Manual]. There definitely are different groups with their own agendas.

[Kiryu] is not stated to be dead in the [Under Ninja NIN NIN Manual]. I would believe the opposite to be true, actually.

As opposed to the characters that we have seen die on-page, [Kiryu] does not have the marker next to his name.
While I do think that [Kiryu] could have died from [ESCAPE]'s self-destruction, there is nothing that actually confirms that fact.

The mere fact that [Kiryu]'s name isn't crossed off leads me to believe that he, in fact, is currently alive, and is simply in critical condition (the same would apply to [Nijiro], having been very badly injured during his fight with [Kato & Co.], yet not having the marker next to his name).

All of the language that [?] (or [Googly-eyes], as I like to call him) uses when referring to [Kiryu] is really vague, on purpose.
He simply states that [Kiryu] risked his life for the operation to take down [ESCAPE], but not that he had truly lost his life.

All in all, we simply don't know enough about [Koji Kashin] to confirm their whereabouts or status, and [Kiryu] could very well still be alive.

You're right to clarify, as I did intend to say [Tara] was the [Koji Kashin] but then simply didn't, haha! Now, I'm speculating.

In regards to [Kiryu] this one line specifically is what I'm referring too; on ch 3, pg 26 of the [Under Ninja NIN NIN Manual]:

The fact that it posits two outcomes and then says "his fate was sealed", which is usually a euphemism, lead me to believe he is dead. However, you make a compelling argument. Those dead are so marked and [Kiryu] and [Nijiro] are strikingly not. Maybe "his fate" is one worse than death even?

Ah, man! There certainly are mysteries and unknowns abound. Making me miss the days of daily uploads!!! 🥲
