Why didn't Macht just turn the Hero of the South to gold? It's an unavoidable and unblockable guaranteed insta kill attack, why doesn't he use it more often in dangerous fights?
I thought that Grausam could attack from long distances, just like Fern did at her last battle. So I guess that'd be his weak point. If Macht needs "things" to create gold, I wonder if Grausam powers is to eliminate things from existence, how else would he be a match for Macht?
It's implied he doesn't have any interest in fighting, they state he's only there to make the threat. They don't know he can see the future, making his presence useless. Why didn't Macht just turn the Hero of the South to gold? Schlatt does mention Macht commits a pathetic oversight in the battle against Hero of the South that it's better for Macht to forget the battle too. It could be Macht casts diagoldze but HoTS predicts and counters it. How he counters is up for debate. If he can envision thousands years into future like Schlatt then maybe he gets to know Frieren's analysis of diagoldze? Why didn't Macht just turn the Hero of the South to gold? In my mind, the reason why Schlacht is hiding the battle against the Hero of the South from Frieren is pretty obvious. The "known" historical outcome of the battle—the deaths of Schlacht, three of the Sages, and the Hero—is not entirely true. And the survival of one or more of those presumed casualties is central to the demons' contingency survival plan. That plan being something Frieren especially would want to foil, given her genocidal tendencies towards demons. Was there an actual need and importance for the plot to erase the memories of Macht for not let Frieren to watch the demons' fight against the hero of the south?
Or it was for just not showing again how they fight because we saw a few panels back then?
Also they specifically said Frieren when there are actually 3 or 4 people in total who has already watched Macht's memories including Frieren.
No, it is meta. You are confused because in storytelling, meta it's often used to describe a person who is aware that they are in a story. But meta prefix has a more general meaning of creating a description about a description.Well, it's not really "meta", since it all takes place within the story. It's not like he's addressing the audience outside of the story. He's just addressing the audience inside the story, so it feels similar.
Erm, ackshually ☝️🤓No, it is meta. You are confused because in storytelling, meta it's often used to describe a person who is aware that they are in a story. But meta prefix has a more general meaning of creating a description about a description.
For example, metadata means data about data, and meta-learning means learning (extracting data) about how to learn (extract data). Metadata is not made for aliens/gods/creators of our simulation; it's made for other humans/computers inside this world, and that is sufficient to be called meta. Meta-learning doesn't mean that AI becomes aware that is trained by the code written by humans (outside from the perspective of AI), it only means it is trained to speed up the training process.
There is no need for observer Frieren/file reader to be outside of the simulation/world/story. The only thing required is for Schlacht to know that there will be a process analyzing data, plus he needs to write metadata for that process, which he does by adding "I'm sorry Frieren" (almost like a file name) to Macht's memory (file).
You first tried to correct Klarinet with "ackshually", even though nobody cared, and you were incorrect. So you are behaving like a hypocrite now. Don't correct others if you are wrong, because someone can decide to correct you.Erm, ackshually ☝️🤓
