It's quite comforting that they will (or at least plan to) see each other multiple times per week. If he were going several hours away then we'd have the danger of this turning into one of those stories.

To explain the thing with the buttons, apparently they have a tradition in Japan where you give away buttons from your old uniform to people you were close with. And the second button from the top is the most important because it's the closest to the heart, or something like that. (Or so I read in another manga anyway).

Yeah I might translate the slime girl manga. What I read has been pretty cute so far.

Edit: actually, there only seem to be 4 chapters and then the author stopped posting them since April 2024. I'll at least translate what's there.
