that's the closest we are ever gonna get to a proposal and confirmation huh? damn, cant believe its been over 13 years with this manga, somehow, despite how much happened, I'm somehow happy it ended this way, and I'm happy to have read it and waited for so long! Thanks to Kawaii Scans for working so hard for so many years on this, and to Gouma-Den for picking it up at the last round and releasing stuff at lightning speed!

This was such a cute series but I'm honestly so tired of the "And then they became permanent platonic roommates" route.

We don't need a sex scene or even a kiss, but it would at least be nice if the series had ended in a way that didn't make it feel like they were just going to have a Futaribeya relationship

Honestly futaribeya makes me even more furious. It feels like the author is having fun dangling the ending in our face and say "gotcha bitch" when they reveal blondie isnt even serious about anything and more or less treat the other girl as a house maid. Himawari is like sous vide: cook at a low temperature for a looooooong time and in the end its tepid but warm enough to be comfy

Agreed. In fact imo it feels undeserving of the "Romance" tag (though it should certainly keep the "Girl's Love" tag).

I don't expect there to be any more continuation of this with 100 chapters already and the way things were tied up, but I'd absolutely eat up a sequel where Miss Sunflower develops romantic feelings for Matsuri.

yeap, one if thous that just pisses me off to ever had to waste time were it never ends in anything meaningful and i had to fight people over their delusional idea of what a romance looks like

I really like this series. It doesn't have too much drama, and the character development is great, especially the friendship. There are no annoying characters so far. Matsuri and Shiori have a great chemistry, and their baby steps to get to know each other are adorable (though Shiori seems oblivious to Matsuri's growing hair... or something like that). However, what I find unsatisfying about the ending is that they're still not dating or confirming their feelings for each other, whether it's romantic love or just platonic friendship.

I might have to give it a 7/10 rating. It's cute and wholesome, but I'm really here for some real Yuri action.
I really got bait because of Romance and Yuri tag I hope all authors who wants to make Yuri but want to end "we are just friends" shit, not add Romance and Yuri tag at all. (I dunno who add those tag so I'm pointing finger/s at the author LOL )

While there's no doubt in my mind that Shiori returns Matsuri's in some regard I can't help but feel that there's a lack of resolution regarding their nature. The manga even spends a lot time teasing around the edges of what they may be so the fact there's no answer given leaves the story feeling unfinished. Especially since the manga goes out of the way to set up parallels to other characters and the previous bookshop owner where there's no ambiguity about the feelings.
