Thank you for the new slice!

However, got a bit confused at the end of page 12. Whatever do they mean?

i was hella confused too
The "Do you consider yourself a guardian" & "What are you, a guardian?!" is 保護って言いましょう? ( Hogo tte iimashou? )
i don't know what fits better, so i just put both of 'em there
i'm still learning japanese, there might some errors in translations

I don’t really know any Japanese but is it possible she meant something along the lines of ‘what are you, my dad’?
Since the ‘iimashou/iimasu’ portion references orders being given, it may just be her saying ‘if you say so’. Of course neither of those technically fit with the previous statements, but I have no clue how Japanese conversations operate.

It's a word play of 捕獲 (hokaku, meaning capture)、保護 (hogo, meaning taking someone under protection)、and 捕縛 (hobaku, meaning apprehension). Basically, Eley is treating Mariabelle like a stray dog / criminal and Maribelle wants him to use a nicer word instead.

The conversion went like this:
"For now, let's just be glad that I was able to capture you."
"Let's call it "secure" instead."
"And I'll give you prise for getting apprehended without putting up a fuzz."
"Let's call it "secured" instead!?"

@Noneyplay I'm not sure if you're still going to work on this, but there are public tankobon raws available up to volume 4 so you don't have to use the ugly magazine raws. I'm not sure I'm allowed to post the link, but you can just search for the Japanese title of this on Nyaa and then follow the link in the torrent description.

I've read up to what's current out, chapter 29.1, and I've been enjoying this series a lot all the way through. It looks like it's entering the end-game now. I think the story is well planned the intigues/challenges have all been interesting so far so I have high hopes a nice ending for once.
