If you're referring to Ch23.5 this is a continuation of a previous timeline basically. We see a "version" of this in Ch12 in which her fiancee says they have 2 kids and Sylvia told her she has someone she loves. This isn't the same timeline we see playing out since she dies right then, but we also know she's lived through unknown numbers of timelines, and we have no clue how long she lived through them (clearly in one she lived quite a long time, though in suffering all the same - I really wonder what she did to deserve all this pain).Did they just jump right past the ending? Is the how the novel was constructed?
