The group that was doing the English translation stopped due to it getting an official English translation, a lot of groups won’t work on stuff thats be licensed even if the official work is far behind what’s already worked on

Saw the news about this getting an anime adaptation and remembered it existed. Went to check where the "official" English release is at and it literally just caught up to where the scanlation was two years ago. J-Novel is such a joke.

Mixed feelings about this. Has some decent world building ideas and focus on the ways people live. But also feels like it sometimes moralizes in a way that’s somewhere between superficial and immature. Minor issues, but not a fan of the art, the jokes about Dias being dumb feel lazy (could be translation), and the moral conflicts feel like they’re supposed to be deep while coming off rather shallow.

All that said, generally appreciate what it’s trying to do, which is more than can be said for a good number of manga.
