Got half way through chapter 1. It's so embarrassingly on the nose. The writing reeks of teenager edgy creepy pasta writing. "These are boiled fetuses, these ones are fried, these ones are grilled". Also opening with a baby getting cut into just tells me this is gore/torture porn and has no leg to stand on. Junji ito is famous for body horror above all else but he rarely if ever stoops anywhere near this low. The art is also shitty

That's the point of Hino's shock manga though?! He makes splatter horror for kids, teenagers and alternative adults, if you want something less shock based, read some of his other manga like Zoroku's Strange Disease. Also the art is extremely well made, it's not shitty, just a style you don't like. Also Ito is a huge Hino Hideshi fan and Hino heavily influenced his work lol

Not Hino's best work imo but still a fun time killer if you are bored and want to read some fun, simple and cheesy splatter shock stories that have a bit of morbid humor in it. If you want something more serious and less shock based Zoroku's Strange Disease or Panorama of Hell is heavily recommended

That's the point of Hino's shock manga though?! He makes splatter horror for kids, teenagers and alternative adults, if you want something less shock based, read some of his other manga like Zoroku's Strange Disease. Also the art is extremely good if you know anything about art, it's not shitty, just a style you don't like. Also Ito is a huge Hino Hideshi fan and Hino heavily influenced his work lol

If the point is to make shit, then it's still shit. Art is subjective, I think it's awful. It's low hanging fruit for people who are burned out on actual horror but that isn't a selling point to normal people. Ito can be a fan of hino hideshi, I've never said junii ito had good tastes he just makes good manga. I can like a swift kick in the nuts but still be cranking out masterpieces

The point is to make a quick splatter horror story that younger audiences and horror fans can enjoy
