Gutting and skinning doesn't look like a thing you could pass when it's done to a member of your family... Maybe I got something wrong? Is it a cultural thing? Are mythical beings supposed to ignore these things?

Tried looking up the original myths, seems like there are a bunch of variations but in two of the oldest/more well known ones the dragons did in fact get super pissed and Nezha ended up having to commit suicide to atone for his crimes (he got resurrected later.) Not sure how the dragons felt about that resurrection. Also him playing cat's cradle with the tendon is definitely just the author being silly.
