Sadly that was a real style for nobility at a time. This isn't something I would normally bitch about but.... am I weird for thinking that the Empress' outfit looks really bad?
Can I have a refund on my historical realism please?Sadly that was a real style for nobility at a time.
Maybe to much time spent on thinking up ways to kill each other? This doesn't make any sense to me. You're telling me that people who couldn't think of a fucking water pump or a microscope are able to create automata? Seriously?
Except that, historically speaking, war has often been considered a prime driver of innovation. It's not just the killing devices, but mundane ones that still see use. Never underestimate a soldier with a strong need, and either too much free time or too little supervision. Duck tape, for example, is famously a WWII invention by soldiers in the field, using glue, rubberised paint, and bandages. About the only thing that drives more innovation is spite.Maybe to much time spent on thinking up ways to kill each other?
