You can just think of Ako as being there to force Tsumiki to not be quite such a meathead about it. Tsumiki would have zero progress on her own (we saw this before Ako came along). And poor Ako has zero chance, she is doomed heroine (even if she's a perfectly sweet girl).

So just IMO, but I do not think this is harem or even triangle route, it's just a tool for the One True Pair.

Yeah I was hoping they'd avoid this. I think it might still work itself out. I hope they both get their wishes. Ako wishes to be united with her soulmate, and I'm wondering if she might meet someone new over the course of this next year and realize that yutaka isn't her soulmate, she was just obsessed with him. Just a thought

I got the impression Ako being after Yutaka was resolved during the small Tsumiki and him in the student council arc, I don't know why people are still hung to that. Yeah, she idealizes him, but doesn't seem to me she is seeing him as a romantic interest anymore, she is just a dumdum with her head filled with romanticism.
