Please, god, if nothing else, give Ako a suitable substitute love interest in Yutaka’s place. She’s nice and deserves happiness, and the other potential secondary ships in this series have felt good enough that I know you won’t let us down.
Right? Ako is such a nice girl, we should all be so f#$Ing lucky.
But she's only in high school, this is honestly way too soon to be looking for your Fated Soulmate unless you're a manga MC/FMC. Absolutely nobody is sane/adult before age 25 (if ever), and honestly, most manga middle/high school MC/FMCs are going to be divorced or at least loveless by their 30s, you just never see that (though I can see it working with Tsumiki x Yutaka or a few other couples).
But at some point Ako is going to be totally smug grandma, having found her destined person.

I mean, that’s definitely true for humans, but does it work that way for succubi and incubi? Affection is sort of their whole deal, so I can easily see them being way more knowledgeable and aware of how their feelings work and all that sort of stuff a lot earlier in life than most humans manage to be, if not through some form of natural ability, then out of necessity to make sure they don’t accidentally ruin all their relationships with the abilities they do have.

Yeah, this was me being a dumbass with my with right hand off by one key when retyping it, sorry. Ch43 page 13 is right (just checked), but for the other one it's chapter 37 page 6, sorry! Both high digits off by one key.

Cute chapter. Glad to see Tsumiki being aware of Ako's attraction to Yutaka, and also Tsumiki being aware of her potential feelings for him. Good to see it spelled out with actual conversation instead of a series of misunderstandings. Still a little frustrated with some of the inconsistency of author's writing of Tsumiki on that from, but I hope it continues to solidify during the rest of the run.

I really hate The Stupid Plot, where the author just makes everyone f#$Ing stupid because even a single person being smart would completely derail the plot (sadly, that's almost all of shoujo manga, and Nozaki-kun makes fun of that).
But in this case I just think Tsumiki is kind of a meathead, and Morishita-sensei has written her as this from the start - she viscerally likes Yutaka since the cliff climbing chapter, but as she's said she's never experienced this before and intellectually is not sure what to make of it. I think you will see a major reckoning next chapter.
Anyhow, IMO just interpret all this as Tsumiki being reasonably naive, and not the lowest possible effort misunderstanding crap almost all harem manga rely on. It's only been a year, this is pretty reasonable progress!
Edit: I really think Morishita-sensei being an actual female author makes a huge improvement in all this. Yes, she makes overuse of 'oh no bad person!' then pivot and they're actually good person next chapter plot, but that's nice because there are no actual Bad People, and otherwise there are none of the worst excesses of harem romcom shit here. There's no harem, no major misunderstandings, no 'oh gee somehow my nose ended up pressed half a mile up your cameltoe'. As you'll see next chapter, just Tsumiki
laying down on Yutaka's bed, huffing it, and then realizing what she's doing
is 100% reasonable progress? In comparison to other manga, that is absolutely nothing, but it makes me happiest.
