I was about to say something about how they technically cheated but the school's allowing humans to play against and with genjins so it wouldn't matter in this case. But they're surprisingly chill about the other team just using another genjins to temporarily cripple one of the genjins lmao
he came up with a dirty lil plan...

Why is everyone saying nullifying the spider's powers is cheating? If anything, her using her powers that way is cheating to begin with. Saying it's ok because that's her own power is bullshit, because at that point you're not playing volleyball anymore. If you're not following the rules, then anything goes, and all players might as well wrap plastic bags between their arms to receive.

I did think of that too but technically spider girl's wrists/arms arent even touching the ball, it's her webs. So maybe Tsumiki's static-retaining genjin trair isn't considered cheating

Personally, I don't think there's really an argument to be made about cheating here.

Sure, it might've been a trick, but ultimately all that happened was they shook hands while she had a static buildup. An entirely mundane event. Whether she got that static from another genjin or from rubbing her socks on the ground aggressively, is kinda irrelevant.

She was fully aware of the fact that she got zapped with static electricity. Regardless of whether it was intentional or not, she's a spider girl who should know her webs (and their limits/vulnerabilities) better than anyone -- so she should've realized she needed to change the web out, but she didn't. That's on her, taking her power for granted and underestimating her opponents. And she clearly understands this, which is why she didn't have any hard feelings about it.
