I was never fond of the 'ripped' look tho i'm a cheapskate (tho these days jeans are too uncomfortable for me versus sweatpants/something that'd be able to stretch out/no zipper), but i'd imagine most JP ppl would wear 'skinny' jeans by default considering they're usually slender or so lol

True, but usually it applies to female workers, and since many people assume the sole clientele of any sex worker is men their initial reaction is usually “gay for pay” because I guess they just forget women have needs. Which means I have to spend a weird amount of time explaining things.

I was deep in the punk/emo scene so ripped jeans were basically a marker for “cool”. Nowadays I prefer normal bootcut for going out and shorts for chillin at home but I still respect the ripped jeans look

Probably a bad move lol start by making friends, there are lots of apps nowadays for that kind of thing as well. Get comfortable around people (in person most importantly), even if slowly, then start dipping your toes in the dating pool.
