I have mixed feeling. This series was good in the beginning and the story of Miya’s parents was interesting but….the story leaves quite a bit unresolved. I wonder if the project got axed so they had to quickly end it as best they could.

Seems likely. The original manga left a few things unresolved as well, but not nearly as many. At least, I don't think.

The original manga left the Western Shinma/Phantom Castle arc unresolved but The Dream Party final chapter was a good way to end it.
The last chapter of Saku feels rushed and a bit jarring. What happened to Rei? And what about Tonbi, Chisato, and her brother? Is Hana going to search for the sword? Will we find out why the detective kids still remember Miyu when others forget? In the beginning, I thought maybe the twins were unawakened Shinma and that’s why Rei was always showing up around them but maybe they’re just more spiritually aware…?
I do appreciate you taking the time to translate the VPM mangas. What other translation do you think you’ll be taking on next?

Why the twins remember Miyu is one of the few questions you have that does get answered: they are descendants on the Onmyo clan.
