Huh, Komaro's favorite flower is the dandelion?

Google AI says it's a symbol of hope, healing, and preverseance. It's considered a symbol of emotional healing and can represent overcoming hardship and change.

That's a lot deeper than what I expected.

If sensei’s bathtub used to be like that, but isn’t any more, then the security deposit joke doesn’t make sense.
Em... didn't get that joke in the first place. Can you explain it? Besides, they might just been moved to somewhere else. Did you see her place? It's a dump (chapter 53, page 9).

When you move into a new apartment, in America at least, it's normal to give the landlord an amount of money that they hold in case you damage the property. This security deposit is given back to you when you move out. So the joke is that Sensei will never get her money back from the landlord because she's ruined her bathtub. She can kiss that security deposit goodbye.

If the tub was now clean, and Komaro and Sensei are bathing in it, why would Sensei lose her security deposit? The joke only works if Sensei can't use her own bathtub because it's full of shit, and must use Komaro's bathtub instead.

Ah, I get it now, thank you. I though the dirt, cardboard and pots was "that security deposit", like, a deposit into a mean to secure her income by growing... you know... stuff.

@NerimaShinjuku @q0099 Perhaps Komaro technically lives in the adjoining apartment, but since Sensei is her legal guardian they effectively share both apartments and thus have two bathtubs, one of which is full of dirt.
Sensei can afford two apartments?

The mangaka must address this issue. The people need an answer to the great bathtub mystery!

I believe as a scholarship student Komaro gets some or all of her living expenses paid by the school, but many questions remain unclear regarding the bathtub situation.
