The point of berserking is to literally finish off the enemy before you die.

That should be named like defensive tactics or something

Edit: Ive reread it more, the translation should be clear that you aren't gonna take those debuffs

This translation often mixes up increases with decreases a lot. It's one of those things where you just have to assume it means something better
