Usually stuff like this is a 0.5 chapter showcasing a side character's life, though in a series in this style, usually they give the side couples a bit more screen time so readers can watch their ship sail (like with the stylist's romance). Though I guess we did get to see the initial relationship, maybe author wants to stick to the main couple for the "romance" parts though.
