A few things are dumb about this. First of all, she should be able to run away from these golems easily. And yes, the sneak attack was dumb as fuck. Her physical abilities are superhuman and I doubt the golems even move as fast as the average person runs, given their appearance. It was contrived enough that the golems targeted her and the attack happened sooner.

Why do you assume the golem is slow? An elephant can charge a car at 80km/h, you can't outrun something like that. Those golems have been shown to attack really fast, so why couldn't they also MOVE fast?

It's not an assumption, they don't move fast. For one, your elephants comparison is not relevant, they're not elephants they're giant hunks of metal with two legs. If you just look at what's happening, they are shambling this whole time. The only reason she couldn't outrun them is because she broke her leg.

It is an assumption. Nowhere is it directly stated that the steam golems are slow. You are the one making assumptions here.
It's easy to assume that big = slow, but the thing is even if a golem takes only 1 step in the time a human takes 4 steps, if the golem's width is 4 time longer and the distance per step is 4 times longer they end up moving at the same rate. So a Golem could appear to move slowly but end up being just as fast or faster than proportionally smaller object.
Based on drawings of the fortress wall it seems to be 3-5 stories high. From that height you can see 5-8 miles into the distance with the naked eye. The scout indicated the golems would take 15 minutes to reach firing distance of the cannons. Medieval cannons have a maximum distance of 1 mile. So the golems are marching 4-7 miles in 15 minutes, or 16-28 mph. That's not slow. You might be able to outsprint that, but armies also typically don't march at maximum speed until necessary. What's not to say an elite golem can't have a charge attack that lets them move faster than their regular marching speed (which they clearly do as it's clearly shown the Golem charging into Evangeline)
There is a clear explanation given for why the sneak attack worked. Her mental state was clearly not well enough that she thought the vibrations was just her feeling like shit/senitmental that her parents are dead. She's still a kid and she's literally in front of the grave of her dead parents and trying to say her final goodbyes. You might not accept this explanation but it is an explanation.
You might be wondering why didn't Evangeline see the Golem coming? The Golem doesn't appear out of thin air. It charges through a stone wall. You can clearly see a broken stone wall in the shot where the Golem attacks Evangeline. Look at the distance between the stone wall and the Golem. Clearly it's charging at her. The stone brick from the wall is barely in front of the Golem. That means the Golem is moving as fast the broken pieces of the wall when it reaches Evangeline. It has a charge attack. That charge attack is fast. Maybe in the dungeons the Golem gives a clear indication it will do a charge attack, so it wasn't an issue there. But if you don't see it coming and you're in a poor mental state from trying to come to terms with your dead parents and being attacked is the last thing on your mind then I don't think it's completely unreasonable to be caught off guard.
Also its not even that many chapters later where
Ash summons the Boss Golem which literally sprint and jumps over all the golems, what's not to say the Elite Golem's also cannot have this level of speed and agility. Also the two of them are unable to outrun the golems. Even if Evangeline had her leg hurt and can't move at her maximum speed the MC used a potion on her and literally told her to run and she says she can run and they are shown to be running but they still cannot outrun the golems. The golems are not slow.

In manga it can be very difficult to identify how fast something is supposed to be moving, so I judged based on how quick she was appearing to be moving, injured as she was, relative to them. In relative terms they are slow. If they were relatively fast as you say then they would have caught her in short order.
Despite everything you've said none of it is reasonable to me. All of your calculations are based on assumptions and rough estimates based on artwork that was never created with the intention of holding up to that of scrutiny or representing reality to that degree. It's unreasonable to assume that everything is drawn to scale and the perspective the artist chooses plays a critical part in that.
As far as your points, if I had read this recently then I would refute them one by one with evidence, but I'm not going to reread this just for argument's sake. If buying into it is more enjoyable for you then I'm glad, but I don't feel the same. This was a very poorly written series of chapters in my eyes.

Look, fair enough that you don't want to invest time to refute points from an argument you made a while back, but you are just wrong about the speed of the golems. I can't do anything about how you felt about the quality of the arc since you are entitled to your opinion, but I can and did provide counter evidence to your assessment of the golems being slow.
Whether or not you would refute all my points with evidence if this was something you read recently is irrelevant to the quality of my or your arguments and points unless you actually do it.
What a convenient excuse to dismiss my points based on artwork while that same artwork is what you must be using to justify your beliefs that the golems are "slow" and "shambling this whole time". There are scenes that show them moving fast and scenes that show them not shambling.
What I did was provide 2 explanations - one which as you state is based on assumptions and estimates which can be used to justify the lore. If you want to ignore my assumptions and just go with your assumptions because it makes you feel better, then you do you. I also provided the other explanation that shows that you are wrong based on what is literally happening in the webtoon.
If we don't have the artwork to rely on, then we only have what is told in the story to rely on, and it is not indicated in the story that the golems are slow. So then what are you using to justify your statement that golems are slow and shambling this whole time?
In like 2 chapters they do in fact catch up to her when Evangeline and Ash try to run away despite Evangeline being healed to the point of being able to run and Ash using a boss golem summon to slow them down initially, indicating that the golems are also relatively fast.
