As expected, it was a misunderstanding, the opposite of what usually happens here :haa: Romcom don’t progress this easily after all, even in Okinawa :pepehmm:
Maybe we can at least conclude than Kyan is not indifferent to mc, and that’s not even sure… still rooting for Kana though :win:
Thanks for the translation

Heh of course it's a bait and switch, I envy the pure souls that thought this was anything real. Although, that timing at the end of last chapter is masterful. Almost felt like I had some doki left in me.

Thanks for the chapter!

This has almost 100 chapters out now. Does anyone know if anything substantial happens on the romance front until then?

I still plan to read, since this is a pretty comfy manga, but would love to know if it just stays sol or if anything happens.

Should have figured. Kinda feel stupid.

I guess it's not nothing, Hiina is conscious of things now... kind of... even if by accident.

Welp....cute. But I'm still rooting for Kana, sorry.
Although, just now it came to mind what I felt when I was reading GoToubun: I have a preference, but tbh, I think I'd be okay with either of them "winning"

Well, tbf, there are a couple of romcoms that do not drag on moving the relationship. You can count them on your fingers, true that, but they're great.
Not all romcom suffer from the RGD (Rental Girlfriend Disease)

I guess it makes sense that things would progress slowly. Beach parties, buses, romance…it’s all on Okinawa Time.

Most of us were expecting the fakeout, but maybe we can hold out hope that we see some lasting effect — maybe Kana will learn from the scare and take Yae’s advice to heart. Or Teru will take Hina’s panic as a preemptive rejection and start getting over her.

Probably not, but hey, we’ve at least been introduced to a traditional sign of romantic love that can be brought back later, Chekhov’s-gun-style!
