Hm was the guy at the end accidentally eavesdropping or some junior that might have feelings/love at first sight crush on the bf? Altho he did seem easily jealous at the end, tho I would expect it to be like “childhood friends try dating—Doesn’t work out” or maybe he gets an awkward crush on the “cool” girl too lol

i assume he's from a generation where they don't talk about it but these days there'd be tons of ppl that'd make jokes /tease other teenage classmates even if it is a bit douchey to be like "are you pmsing?" as a way to provoke them or so unless he's also just avoided women his whole life too b/c you'd think even growing up with a mother unless they went on birth control or died after having one kid it'd be something you'd be somewhat aware of even if you didn't know the exact term
