Until there's more information regarding which studio will be adapting it, I'm just gonna hold back my excitement.
Because, well, I didn't like how sukimega anime was done.
the gohands curse. For being gohands they did seem to be less annoying than usual. I knew it was gohands as soon as the camera went crazy.

How did this get an anime so fast? We’re not even 40 chapters in! I guess this means it’s selling really well but wow.

Has anyone seen the raws for this? I don't like that "UGH" in the 2nd to last panel of the main story. It sounds like disgust. Maybe a "kyaa" is too much, but either way, I'm not convinced by the "UGH"

I still don't get the vibe that Shun's knee injury was catastrophic enough to prevent him from playing soccer. With modern medicine, it needs to be a SERIOUS injury.
It was bad enough that he needed a brace. That usually indicates muscle damage and the like, and from some quick research, it seems like they're usually used for injuries that take around one or two years to heal. The reason it doesn't feel that catastrophic is probably because we're only seeing the latter half of his recovery, after he's already become capable of non-intensive physical activities again.

I think they addressed that in the manga - he could start playing again, but he is scared of injuring it again.

I can relate - I do karate, and I have had a couple of hyper-extension injuries, and now I am super conservative about what I do.

Thanks for the clarification.

I guess I don't get fear of injury. When I blew out my knee playing basketball, I started playing again before I finished rehab. I permanently lost a step so it ended up being a poor idea.

A grade 3 ACL tear only takes 9 months including surgery and that's on the longish side.

I have no idea if your information is accurate or not, as it directly contradicts what I found from multiple sources, but maybe what you're thinking of is the time it takes to resume normal activity? That would be totally different from the time it takes to be able to do a physically intensive sport like soccer again, though.

Even then, though, we know for a fact that he was still recovering at the beginning of the manga and has only recently-ish been able to remove the brace. It's just a fact that he's still been recovering throughout the story, so the amount of time an injury like his would take to heal is kind of irrelevant.
