"I'm looking from a dude called "Takahashi". Oh, you're Takahashi!... but wait, you're not the Takahashi I'm looking for"
I see, it's a ojou retard.

Also, what's with the lately well written female sensei in a romcom? I mean in the Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru and Mayonaka Heart Tune cases, they're funny af characters.

Nah, come on guys, anyone who can facilitate this level of dumb faces in a manga, whether on for themselves or those around them, is a welcome addition to the cast in my book.

Do kids in school really treat each other that bad in japan? Looking down on someone like that and calling them worthless feels really off to me, and the teacher knew about it and did... what did she do to help out her student again? Like what would she have done if he didnt get such good grades? just go "well, sucks to suck"? Aside from that, ill give the new character a cpuple chapters before i judge her because i trust the author.
They actually do. Being a society that values the collective as much as Japan, they're also far more likely to give in to peer pressure and join the bullying because being ostracized would be the worst. The teachers are incentivized to look the other way and punished for making the bullying a problem. They, in fact, usually join in. Why do you think so many students end up as shut-ins and/or self-deleting?

Not to say the extreme individualism observed in other countries don't have downsides. Only focusing on yourself is the reason why society in the west have been degrading recently. But in this, specifically, yes. It is that bad in Japan, sometimes.

As in many things, both individualism or collectivism are horrendous when taken to the extremes, and it should always be a mix of both.

If I was Takehashi right there, I would have gotten myself killed immediately. When she said, "Takehashi was with Yayoi last Sunday," my immediate reaction would have been, "But I was with Yayoi last Sunday, and I didn't see the other Takehashi."

Takahashi went from nobody to someone worthy of assassination. Huge steps.
