Somehow worse than i expected, haremslop with formulaic characters, idiotic plot and no themes to speak of.

Maybe this adaptation vastly improves it to the point that its bearable, but i will not stick around to find out

Yes, he has a harem other than the sh1tty childhood friend, but there's literally an entire subarctic of out-of-control Zaibatsu, the MC being some rogue Martial Artist (as hinted in the chapter) and it's about as stable as the Konbini series that was a dumpster fire.

For that first part you mentioned, did we read the same part of the story where it was revealed that several girls were forcefully transferred out due to liking him? That's a bit more than "drawing a circle", if you ask me.

Second part, the whole reason he left her was because of him constantly being terrorized as shown by how she admits that she consistently treats him like that.

I will concede that him not trying hard in school is a LOT closer to the analogy you used, however, that could still be a result of abuse. This, to me starting off, is looking like a Hanabi situation but we won't know till more gets translated.

other people around him being restrained while he himself is completely and utterly free is absolutely just drawing a circle, we literally see that there is nothing stopping him or any kind of pushback to this

he shows absolutelay no sign anywhere that he is in any way upset about any of this and when the girl reports it the adults are like "well fuck hes decided to be free nothing we can do"

it seems like he wet along with it purely because he decioded for himself that it was for the best for his position not because he recieved any amount of pressure to remain there and if anything the adults thought they were honeypotting him
