I just wrote a long reply to Desert in the last chapter, so I don't really feel like commenting anything...
Still, if you wanted to write a series about women's baseball so bad, wouldn't it have made more sense to make Izumi the main character from the start? No matter how you look at it, and no matter how much you try to justify them with bullshit logic (which is the nicest way I can possibly put it), your actions make no sense. She'd probably make a way better main character than the bitch Mutsuko too...well, I'd guess you wouldn't have been able to stamp the MAJOR sticker on it though. As BUYUDEN proved, Takuya Mitsuda just by himself won't sell. Not that Daigo has any more chance to reach the major leagues than Izumi though, lol

The shrill bitching of the translator doing these chapters makes me wish they were doing Blue Lock instead because thats an actual five alarm fire that needs some people fighting it instead of just letting it burn.

I think this is kinda unfair to the author. IIRC Buyuden had some timing issues as there were a couple other boxing manga around that time in addition to the ever-present Hajime no Ippo...... nowadays I feel like a boxing manga would have a better shot at standing out cause Ippo's deep in the weeds with no way out and he missed the timing of Inoue exploding onto the scene to become a boxing GOAT. There are far worse things that got 134+ chapters in that genre alone. Buyuden probably should've started out faster though and made the protagonist stronger out the gate instead, that may have solved some of its problems and made it at least a little better once the axe fell.

Honestly I admit to have been sorta leafing around this manga and following it piecemeal, but besides the disturbing amount of gratiuitous middle school girl bra and panties hello I'm Chris Hansen tf is wrong with you levels of fanservice this really doesn't seem that bad. If the middle school arc dragging is the big problem I guess that makes sense though, cause Season 2 of Major was kinda weak too until they got to the Kaido underclassmen matches.

It wasn't an insult to you, my criticism of trash sports manga like Blue Lock, Prince of Tennis, and Kuroko no Basuke could be considered "shrill bitching" by others too. It happens.

That being said I've looked back further on this forum since I noticed you've actually done work on this for a while and do find it a little weird that you've been hate-translating this for like 2 years when, again, it really doesn't seem like its that bad. Unless I'm missing some scene that gives the middle finger to baseball physics, or someone committing felony assault and getting a free pass for it cause they hit more dingers than Ohtani-san himself, maybe thats a possibility? I'm gonna go back and read stuff cause again I've been reading it piecemeal and only just remembered to hit the follow button here to keep updated.

No, don't be playing dumb now, and certainly don't say "it happens", it's an insult no matter how you look at it...
And I don't really get what you're getting at by saying over and over again how you don't think it's that bad. To me, it Is that bad, that's it. I see from later in your comment that to you, "MAJOR could've been better", and, "it's a 6/7 at worst", so I take it you don't have a strong opinion about it. Unless you have a really strong opinion about MAJOR like I do, my opinion won't ever make any more sense to you, the way your "it's not that bad" will never make any more sense to me. If you're really interested, you've already seen my complains are extremely well documented. I would appreciate it if you kept your "shrill bitching"'s to yourself though, I don't appreciate getting insulted by strangers.

(sigh) You're like the third person to give me the "why are you translating this manga when you hate it so much" line, you know? I'm getting kinda tired at this point. A ton of people complain about stuff like new Simpsons, new Spongebob, and other long-running TV shows/franchises like that while still watching it because they're passionate about it. They complain on social media, write essays, and make YouTube videos about it. It's pretty standard nerd stuff from where I'm standing, so I'm not sure why people have such a hard time wrapping their heads around it. We really can never understand each other, you and I...Well that's fine with me. Besides, my friend still wants to read it, so I'm doing it as a favor to him. That one anyone can understand, no?
