Being closeted in JP must be suffocating, at least parents can't see real time google searches or so but i can totally imagine ,even if they aren't outright hateful but still 'hesitantly' accepting, i can imagine someone with a distant relationship with parents, as soon as they turn 18 (or i guess 20 is the legal adult age in JP? tho i imagine ppl can still move out at 18), they'd move as far away as possible/cut ppl off or so for a 'fresh start'

it's weird (but i suppose a part of 'teenage hypocrisy') how ppl can be put off by 'gay behavior' even tho they're openly just doing it in a joking way (although even amongst guys it's quite awkward to pants ppl publicly tho given all the 'saggy pants' trend when i was in school short of getting beat up, surprised ppl's classmates didn't pants those guys lol)


Cranberry cheesecake? well if it's taiyaki it'd be fine but i can't imagine a warm/hot taiyaki with that flavoring as opposed to like room temp

I've had ice cream taiyaki before but I don't know that's common in japan or its just an asian american invention. Either way it's really good, highly recommend!

Just wanna clear up that the convo between the Girls’ Volleyball Team was about Yagino and her bf, not MC (Jun) and her bf (Rokumaru). So many characters in this series look like Jun, so I can see how it can be misinterpreted lol

aha yeah half the time i read on mobile/skim and don't pay attention to the guys' faces as much in yuri but yeah hopefully they can talk things through without it being an awkward bisexual love triangle (but outside of the guy being an mc and in a bl, i rarely see a bi-love triangle where the guy is also interested in another guy as well)

Korea has a “fish shaped” ice cream brand with red bean, there’s a choco and green tea version too, I liked it tho the outer layer taste was stronger than the red bean filing, also had Manjoo? (Bubgeoppang) with like a choco sauce filling but there wasn’t a red bean option but it seemed like the Korean equivalent as well

But it makes sense that there’d be places with multiple filling the same way those huge stuffed crepes are a thing

No matter if she is in the closet or have feeling for MC, right now she is just homophobic.
And she is not the only. We saw it in the last chapter how her Jun's friends react when they imagine Jun and Kei, two girls, potentially loving in love going out together.

In many culture, homophobia, sexism and/or racism are so trivialize that people use words or acts in some way that are harmful to people who are concerned about these subjects.
And I'm pretty sure that Ruri doesn't consider what she said as homophobic. It's just not her cup of tea to put it nicely.

In that subject, I think girls are the most hypocritical and even harmful to some.
Some girls want to be touchy feely with her friends but found it disgusting when it's between two girls in a romantic relationship. So where is the limit ? What's the difference between a friendship hug, kiss, linking arm, sharing lipstick, touching breast, butt, hips or whatever other parts of the body ?
The only difference is the relationship.

And harmful, because some others girls are not tactical, at least not with everyone and mostly not with stranger.
So when you have a girl pointing out the sexual agression from another girl who think it's normal to touch someone's breast, butt or whatever without their consent just because they are of the same gender even though they don't know each other...

And all these aggressions are accepted because it's between girls and girls are like that. But when it's between two girls who love each other and they give their consent to their partner to be touch, that is not OK...

LOL yeah it can very, i've seen lots of some slice of lifey school manga where it's like "xx-chan, marry me~" but they're joking and not seriously flirting, idk how many ppl are like that irl in classes but it must be flustering/awkward for ppl actually closeted (i've even heard there were like "Girls dating each other as a 'phase' in all girls schools" before getting married to a man afterwards or so, things have probably gotten better now compared to like, 20 years ago but i don't know if will JP legalizing same sex marriage soon), idk if we'll get an awkward changing room scene or so but even if ppl realize they're gay from a younger age i imagine ppl would be busy or too self conscious to rly have time to stare or so

it does remind me of some jokes/memes like "straight girl sleep overs"/some "straight" girls acting more gay as teens than what actual lesbians had growing up
