I'm going to go ahead and guess without looking that the sage has either equipped an item or always has a spell pre-cast on herself (going from the nails in this chapter) that will automatically revive her if she's killed.

It was pretty interesting to see that she was even trying to tamp down her desires because of the serious situation and wanted to push forward to hunt down the demon, I guess she's not just a sage for her healing abilities.

Oh no. What a cliffhanger. Will the sage be alright? Will the main premise of the entire story be completely altered by the permanent removal of the lead character pushing forward for the purpose of getting our heroine into more and more torturous situation for the purposes of imposing a variety of fetishes?

Is a question I'm fairly sure nobody is asking.

We're just wondering how the sage's going to revive. Just like an auto-resurrection spell? Maybe a lich form? Maybe the Sage is secretly a demon? Who knows. I'm more curious whether the sage revives before or after the heroine has her holy blast to last long enough to have her go through an emotional breakdown.

You joke, but I've seen manga abandon their main premise faster than this. None of them have turned out good, mind you, but it happens.
