Honestly, and I know this won't be a popular opinion, I like how they made the MC much more realistic. He's far from being benevolent, but he's not a complete schmuck either. That gives him a LOT of room to evolve as a character and it can go either way depending on the author. It's primed for him to tell whatever story he wants. No wonder this is getting an anime despite my impressions of this after the first few chapters.

I agree. Personally, I think the game did an even better job at this, partly because you get to see so much more of his thought process, and the chain of logic that leads him to making the decision he does. Really fleshes him out as a person with thoughts and morals of his own, as opposed to the two dimensional archetypes people in stories like these can easily fall into.

Okay, it's a common misconception, but there's actually no such thing. But that aside, the MC being painted out to be some sort of good guy is just disgusting and cringey. It's one thing to follow the story of "a bad guy", and another to glaze them
Stockholm syndrome has never been included in the psych analysis manual, as many believe it falls under trauma bonding or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

So there’s evidence that extreme situations can cause something to happen but it may be linked to more broad and well understood diagnoses

She never “turned against” him. Just didn’t believe him when he said the outside wasn’t safe and wavered in the little trust she had of him since tbh, most of this was out of gratitude and survival n’ stuff, ngl. Seriously, damn.

“You don’t think about anything useful, so you should just focus on following my orders.”
…Excuse me? Okay nah, bro isn’t even hiding his necrophilia anymore, damn. In the way of autonomy and whatnot.

Update, trailer is out and slated to release sometime in 2026. Half the year is already through, so… Either fall or winter, I guess.

Edit: Some stuff also say 2027… So imma guess Jan 2027 of winter… Lol. We’ll see, maybe ig.
