I don't see the point in continuing this scan. I thought the point was to have a faster release schedule than GDS, but you guys have released the same amount of chapters as GDS has in the past 5 months, and rather than new releases, it's just scans that have already been completed. I have a lot of problems with GDS, but the one thing they are decent at is translation quality, so if you aren't releasing any faster, and your quality isn't any better, why waste time and resources on this title? Find one that's either been dropped, or something that people would like to read that doesn't have a translation.

@dmbase @ginongo they are scanlating volume releases, not the web/magazine version. It's an alternative (better) version to GDS, so stop complaining.

Yeah, while I'm 100% ok with people sniping from GDS given their behaviour, this one's kinda annoying. Every time this manga appears in my feed, I have to actually go to the main series page to make sure it's not a chapter I already read months ago with minor differences, rather than just going straight to the chapter. It's not worth it in my opinion when they're consistently ~5 chapters behind GDS, and release a chapter just as infrequently.

Also, the "standard" way to GDS-bait is to release the next chapter that GDS is still sitting on, like @ginongo said. Why would they care if somebody releases a chapter they already did 8 months ago?

They are doing Volume releases. I usually appreciate when a SL does a whole manga or at least most of it because there is always a little "SL Flourish" that goes on with names/word choices, etc. so its good to have consistency.

None of that really changes anything I said though. The chapters are still nearly identical to the ones GDS releases with maybe some minor differences in word choice and typesetting, which makes it pretty much pointless to go back and read these chapters if you've already read the GDS one - which, again, was released long enough ago that anybody following this series has probably already read it. I can see the point in redoing already released chapters if the old one was bad quality, but that's not really the case here.

Basically, it goes like this:

• see new chapter in updates feed and open it
• read a page or 2 and think "didn't I already read this?"
• check the series page and see that I did indeed already read it the better part of a year ago
• close the chapter

That usually only work if there is already a huge backlog of chapters that GDS is holding up and they are going ahead of them, but with this specific serie, they are 1 chapter behind, since the 2nd split for chapter 21 released like at the end of march in the mobile app as paid split and is not going free until like the 23rd or so, and the gangan website is behind from the app too (not sure with this serie if GDS rip from the app for worse quality, or wait months for the website to update)

While this serie had a few months wait after chapter 19 here, it wasn't that behind because it went on a 1-2 month break because volume 4 release, but yeah, like IotaCS mentioned, i don't think GDS would move if they keep re releasing old chapters, but at the same time GDS isn't that behind the serie for it to matter to them lol
