as far as we can tell, the contacts are only for eye color, while the swirls/circles and lack of highlights are just how her eyes are naturally.
At the very least, when kuroki tried her contacts, his eyes didn't take on those aspects, though they did look larger -- but probably safe to say that was just for comedic effect.
