I'm not sure how closely MC's power level matches that of previous demon lords. I'm betting he's stronger so no average hero should be able to match his power.

That being said, he's not a direct fighter. His build is more like a mage and they tend to be glass cannons. Yes he has a lot of defenses to counter that, but a hero with a speed build could possibly attack him with powerful blows faster than he could activate his talismans, especially if she's seen him fight enough to know how his powers work
