With him blocking with weapons that broke, again we're shown something trying to mislead us into thinking that it harmed them directly. OG Golden Man was said to have been an asshole before, so really coming across as him playing the Spiderman and enraging Cello to get him to react like this and gauge him better.

okay so like, I know my first comment was that he'd say something to convince people that Moroboshi is attacking him, THE golden man, and also that I let myself be suckered into arguing on that basis.

But like, if one of these two guys is wearing golden man's outfit and fights like golden man, and like it's not as if he doesn't have the space to put on his helmet here, he's not being pushed THAT hard yet. Then what do you think will happen.

If the people watch THE golden man get publicly attacked by a guy with ominous looking superpowers who is yelling about how he's going to kill THE golden man. Genuinely. Like. I don't like being nitpicked you know. Especially not when the argument for if people would figure out who the "real" golden man is, is predicated on much more than just voice alone.
