We get at least two (ish) views of it in the Volume 5, once from the cover, and the other from the color insert where we see the model in a small hologram floating mid-table. It is functionally identical to the design here.

Mei? Well, no other android/gynoid like Mei will be on the crew for lore reasons. I think they discuss that in the LN when Mei gets her proper body and frame. But as of current crew, only Mei and the twins live on the mother ship.

given that this series is based off elite dangerous, the equivalent in the game is a Fleet Carrier. however, nothing quite really looks that blocky, the closest fleet carrier variant is the standard Drake Class variant. the design reminds me more of the trade class carriers in no mans sky.

I actually expected the mothership to be more blocky as someone who read the novel. It supposed to have cargo blocks on the sides with some of those cargo blocks being disguised hidden deployable weapon turrets. According to the novel the mc wanted the mothership to look like a lightly armed merchant/cargo transport ship to lure in pirates and catch them off guard.

did they modify the mothership yet? is that why it looks less blocky right now?

Recently read volumes 10 & 11 of the LN, and 10 left me really pissed off. Can any WN reader confirm that Mary dies the horrible death she deserves given all the atrocities she's committed by aiding pirates? (rape, torture, noncon body mod, and murder of 1000s of civilians, terrorism etc)

Krishna was unique even in the game, you typically won't really see anything like it in this world. Also each manufacturer has it's own style and focus, Space Dwergr does 'chunky' ships. Also to add, most people will never be able to land on a planet, so aerodynamic ships are not needed nor practical in space.


For further reference, don't forget it has two cargo bays, each can fit a small ship like the Krishna

She is kinda forgotten. Never saw her, up to the latest chapter. Maybe will see her in later chapters.

In-universe there's dozens of different manufacturers all with different styles, and it's also noted that a lot of mercenary's ships get modified to the point of the base model being unrecognisable.

Space Dwerg's style is blocky, hence this ship's (and the test ship's) design.

Also since people keep commenting in this thread, I believe the new ship is supposed to be 330m long, with two bays that can hold a ship the size of Krishna.
