I'd genuinely say that facebook, twitter, and especially reddit are worse places than 4chan at this point.
The echo chamber effect and bot manipulation really makes those places awful.
Reddit is becoming a bizarro world of alt left nutjobs right now, and they're for some reason or another completely unable to tell themselves. They're probably going to be worse than the alt right nutjobs on /pol/ soon. Only issue is that you can mostly avoid those alt right nutjobs by avoiding /pol/, but the alt left nutjobs are all over reddit even if you try to avoid them.

Have you been to r/pics? That place has gone completely off the rails. And there are several other subreddits like that. The r/comics subreddit isn't really much better either at this point. Only one somewhat good comic (the crocodile one), and the rest are mostly just political comics or lesbian porn (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Yeah but my point being that it's spreading to almost all of the subreddits. They'll even start discussing political stuff in the r/manga subreddit.
In my country's subreddit there's almost only political stuff these days, it's exhausting.

To be fair the manga subreddit is nearly dying and hasn't really been that relevant since the mangadex forums reopened, but it's still one of the best places to shill your releases. It just sucks that it's gotten so hard to just be able to post them.
