It's not an either or. If the characters had any sort of chemistry, their banter, even normal, could be made interesting. This...wasn't that. The dialogue feels so...unnatural.

Honestly, I like this compared to chapters of unnecessary misunderstandings (and drama). And, she gave tacit approval when her friends implies that she also fancies him.

Yeah, but that was largely BS, and his smackdown immediately after was fully deserved. I mean, at least the stuff they were talking about had a good deal to do with personality. As that girl pointed out in the manga, compared to typical adolescent male talk about tits and ass, it was far less objectifying. So unless girls are supposed to be ethereal beings on pedestals, I don't see what's so scary about the revelation "Girls may be less than half as scary as guys".

I could care less about that tbfr its just the comment "Are they supposed to be empty-headed balls of vague emotion?" doesn't relate at all to what he's talking about like where is that coming from????
