Hm, wonder if Itsuki manipulated him, but while it's not impossible, dating someone while you're in a depressed slump like this seems like a bad idea versus 'i'll help you with this art, you help me with my movie' or so and they ended up in this kinda relationship unless he really was gay all along (or i guess bi since he did have a' reaction' to being told he and her were lovers as opposed to like his body physically rejecting her, i wonder if there have been other 'amnesia' cases where ppl's sexuality was changed)

I guess the mystery/psych element is part of the story, idk if the actual raws has that tag too (spoiler aside) versus someone being bi but we don't rly know if Itsuki actually likes him or part of a plain since in an earlier chapter he was smiling at him suffering (although messed up premise aside i'd imagine there'd be a lot of 'experimenting' in college esp in an art school of all places lol)
(tho that one 'want to be killed by your beautiful self' also doesn't count as bl despite the blatant homoeroticism lol) versus ame "winning" so just the normal romance tag is gonna be there
you could try requesting the tag but it might be refused
the main chara in 'she is beautiful' is canonically attracted to woman/in love with a childhood friend and ends up with sayaka at the end but it never got a gl tag either

I mean, if Umi's gay by his default settings then it's impossible for him to return her feelings no matter how much she spent her life around him and sadly, it seems that Umi was groomed by a gay weirdo who likes to see him vulnerable I think?.... Now, being depressed doesn't give you the right to be a complete asshole with someone who's been nothing but supportive to you, man these depressed mfs who only want to be the victims and don't care about those around them in the slightest and hurt em with their actions piss me off so much.
