Jesus H. Christ, that last page.... Wonder what killed the dog. Could be a cougar if those exist in that area, I'm not sure if they cache carcasses in trees or not, but it would be a pretty mild poetic license to take compared to anything else in this manga. It could've destroyed the rope as well, out of feline curiosity or accidentally. Unless it's something fancier, with all those kids disappearing I'd be surprised if McDonald doesn't have some hidden enemies among the parents.

Prison School at least was still a good series even if it's a drastic change in tone from this.
