Although maybe she's only just putting together the wolf demon and Garyl, formerly a big name in the demon army and realising who exactly Rys is. Let's see her reaction that the former Dark One lives there too.

I don't blame them for trying to keep details about their children secret. I'm sure these kids are going to be ridiculous in several ways and a parent would want to figure all that out before showing the world

I can understand that. But the issue is that there isn't really a reason why they have to do so around her specifically. She basically knows everything about Rys already, or is at least under the impression that she isn't exactly as she seems.

For example, somehow Fulio has a giant wolf companion who he works with when doing work as The Wolves of Justice. And that wolf has the same fur color as Fulio's wife's hair. And the two of them talk to each other.

Sure, he wears a disguise, but the Queen of all people would know it was him, since it was her who directly requested him to do this. She isn't an idiot either. Plus, it isn't like she doesn't know that demons can have a human-like form. Hyla is a demon (by the Queen's own words) and they look mostly human.

So honestly, they have no reason to hide it from her. Maybe from the general public, yes. But not her, since their relationship with her is more than just on the level of a formality. Not necessarily a close friend, but definitely not strangers either. Plus, if she were in on their secret, then it would only benefit Fulio's goal of human and demon coexistence.

The growth is a little bit slower I think, but I have a few issues with this chapter. If he's using illusion magic to make them appear younger, then what the fuck happened to their mass? The parents I can understand, but the Queen picked them up and didn't notice anything odd there? And they're about the size of 3-year-olds now, but they're still not weaned. Why is THAT where you want to hold onto accurate child growth?

It isnt illusion magic, should be transformation magic and as the sleazy doc from a few chapters ago explained the human version works kind of like placing the target in a pocket dimension/bag of holding, like with the bear/rabbit situation which everyone can pick up. He even says at the end that his shape-shifting is dispelled, not illusion.

I do wonder if there are beastkin in this world who are humanoid with ears/tails/etc but aren't shapeshifters which is a demon only ability. I remembered there were in Flio's previous world who were 2nd class citizens but can't remember if there are in this one or if it's just split humans and demons.

That's polite and respectful of her.

Why would you reject her just because the children grow fast? They're still half-demon, so you'd expect some difference in growing speed, and I don't think that matters too much anyway.

MC: "Pies are sold out."

That's about the expected amount of gifts from a queen.

I don't expect too much of a reaction from her.
