I think his hopes may have been around Kai still being outclassed at that point, so he wouldn't succeed. Maybe something like that?

Like, he is already there; it's too late to make him walk a different path, he is now, currently, a pure and true believer in this cause, with an utterly clear conscience after baby-slaughtering a "Heretic."

Everything about the reincarnators are just a worse version of the Latna saga one.

We’re provided no explanation on why there’s so many, why they’re seemingly evil, IF they’re even evil. Like there’s nothing. At least latna provided a very well explained reason as to why otherworlders are potential problems.

This one does none of that and is just pure edge
