Really weak shit.
This is the equivalent of a nerd being called a loser enough times until he gets mad enough, to suddenly be able to solve any test without looking.

A mage doesn't just "power up", and this "hero factor" is probably the worst thing to copy from DBZ or One Piece. It just feels like the author had no idea how to powerup these characters at all in a creative manner, so just shove in some mystical power instead.

Well, most likely, the black dragon didn't attack that village out of nowhere just because young dad here was hunting wyverns back some 20 years in-story ago (5 years for us)...
If that's true and we try to connect the dots, the 3 girls are most likely descendants of the hero and whatever power they had, saved them....or some hero-spell casted last second from someone of the village...

In the previous chapter, they said that there was the village of hero's descendants and the dragon's attack wasn't a coincidence but a plan of the demon kings to kill them but three babies have survived 👀
